Our Crusader Lite has a bracket below the R/H brake & running light. I noticed when I was installing the license plate that the screw & nut was making contact with the fiberglass wall of trailer. I pulled on bracket and managed to get the bolt installed with the bolt head toward the wall with the threaded end toward the rear, installed plate, washers and nut. Bolt head does not contact wall. Used the trailer for two years, but now have license plate mounted to backside of storage box I added to back of trailer.

I used zip ties to hold my patio lights on the gazebos on the deck at my old house in Denver, CO...

I was lucky to get one year out of them, considering they were under the cover of the gazebo at least seven months out of the year!

I guess I've been lucky. My bracket was worthless when I bought our tt at the start of last winter and have had it on the road many times since without displaying the tag. Been lucky they havent pulled me yet so I better get r done.

Good idea, I don't want to give the police any reason to give me a 2nd glance!

As TitanMike stated; If you're in a state that has programmed DUI Patrols, such as WA & AK, they will look for any reason to stop you. You would be surprised at what those guys are trained to observe, and they don't have to be right behind you neither!

Have driven trailers in WA for years. Never an issue with my unlit license plate on my boat trailer.

Don't try it in Florida. Not even a dirty plate

Fortunately, that will never ever happen.

I had those tail lights. I used a bolt with a lock but to put the plate on. Ended up ditching the taillights because you just could not see them in the day. I had forgot about the license plate and lighting for it. Went to the auto parts store and got a plate holder and the small LED lights for the bolts. Now you can see my taillights very well night or day.Click image for larger version

OP posted this question 8 days ago, no answer from OP, could this be another "Let me post a simple question and see what kind of answers I can get" post?

Use black heavy duty zip ties, the black dye resists UV damage.

Took my RV to Camping World to have the license tag installed as I didnt want to void the warranty. After six months and 47 phone calls, they put ot on upside down and backwards. Never going there again!!
