I have 3 slides and I don't use them. I haven't seen anyone using them with a new camper, but I've seen them being used on older campers with slides.

The owner's manual for your TT generally specifically recommends *against* them. If the camper settles or moves for any reason, you put extra stress on the mechanisms from putting the slides in/out.

Totally agree with the above 2 posts. If used on a newer camper and it settles the slide supports will do more harm than good.

Cruise through the RV campgrounds. See any of them. Most RV campgrounds have a lot of 5r/TT in them. I'm full timing it and I've only seen one in to many RV campgrounds that I have been in.
