Slide Outs Question Re: Caulk

Hi all, was cleaning the rubber on my slide outs. I noticed some cracks along the areas in the pic where I added color. The one section appears to have some caulk, some of which has peeled away. Pull out caulk that's there and add some silicone caulk? Thanks for taking a look!

personally, I would use butyl rubber caulk. I feel it sticks better to painted surfaces than silicone and can be painted if one chooses to. That's just my opinion. Silicone caulk will work fine also.
