Slide Problem

So after fixing a disconnected cable and replacing the slide switch, which I thought was an issue. My slide worked in my driveway 8-10 cycles.
I take it to the campsite...nothin'
It's an Accu Slide with a Norco high torque motor.
Is there an in-line fuse that I am missing?
The FAQ says if the motor makes no sound it is a bad controller or bad motor.
Before replacing the motor, what I assume is a big job.
What is the controller? How can it be checked?
Also the slide is fully retracted,,,extending it is difficult as the provided rachet is not long enough.

Help please?
