Slideout fashia help
Hello all, I don't own a Forest River product, but nobody is perfect, right? I own, in it's day, top of the line 36 1/2 ft. Jayco designer series 5th wheel with 2 slideouts. Eveything in it was built with hardwood oak except the fashia's around the slideouts. I had a leak on the superslide and now the presswood fashia is warped and the slide is binding up. I want to replace the fashia with solid oak. Can anyone give me good directions on how to do this. I think the slideout needs to be in before taking the fashia off. I just don't know if I need to use one long piece of oak (16' long) or make two 8' pieces. Any helpful thoughts and comments would be greatly appriciated. Also just wondering if anybody has replaced their fashia themselves and if so, could you give me some advice. Thanks
