Used to leave them out all the time when at home.
Then got to thinking...
No reason to leave the slide out toppers constantly exposed to sunlight/heat/uv when not necessary. Yes, I do treat them regularly with 303, but still why subject them to "extra" ware.
Also, when real hot/humid, I'll run the ac. Closing the slides cuts down on cubic footage the ac has to cool down. Have the foil/bubble insulation covering all the windows while at home, and that helps alot, but closing the slides also helps.
