slime issue

I need some tips, tricks , prayers or whatever ...
I haven't seen this before.. last HW tank was pretty much spotless
I pulled the anode rod out of this tank and it was covered in slime.

Outer ledge of the tank has specks 1/4 inch thick of rusted metal
Unable to post images from phone but will tomorrow.
I wouldn't wash the neighbors dogs dish in this hot water.
I also noticed a slight film in the water filter.before the pump when I winterized it last night .

I think I'd mix up some pretty strong bleach solution and run it through the entire system if it were me. Maybe more than once. Then I'd rinse the entire system several times. It'll take a lot of water, but I think it's definitely worth it.

We always fill our tanks with public water, so it always has some residual chlorine in it.

Does it have an identifiable odor?

Guessing that's out of a suburban tank? Looks like the color of my well water before the processing / filters.

At least in Heaven, RVs will be perfect, and I won't have to keep fixing them.
