You would be lucky to even get in the door of a supermarket here this evening. Absolutely packed. Last time we were snowed in more than a day was in '78 and it was 4 days before they could get equipment out to move snow that was drifted 15' deep.

I remember '82

The weather-guessers on the local St. Louis stations already appear to be backing off of the snowfall amounts, although they are holding firm on the wind chill predictions.

Like Oakman, I'm glad I'm RETIRED

We are expecting 8-12", -30 to-40 windchill factors from 25-35mph winds. That sound like a normal July day up here in Canada.

Warmest regards from Florida...

DW and I intend to "ride it out" on the patio sipping mojitos...we've already stocked up on the most important winter storm supplies (limes and rum)...

The thing about St. Louis is they are used to the ice, but not that amount of snow.

My parents, brother, friends... all posting pictures on facebook of the snow.

I resisted the urge to send them a picture of myself, outside in 80 degrees, prepping my garden for next month's planting.
