So happy with Forest River right now!

We have a 2012 Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite. We love this unit, and have made quite a few "creature comfort" mods. It is perfect for the two of us. But last fall, I noticed the floor getting spongy in places. And this year it's bad - it has squeaks and obvious places where the foam core under the thin plywood has failed. There are areas of the floor I will avoid walking across. The sponginess runs all the way from the kitchen to the bathroom. Photo shows blue tape where the soft spots are.

I remembered reading on these forums to contact Forest River. So I did. I explained everything in detail, sent the same photo to them, etc. What could it hurt, right? Either they step up to the plate and stand behind their product, or they don't. It took a while, with numerous e-mails and phone calls back and forth, but in the end, they have agreed to REPLACE THE ENTIRE FLOOR FREE OF CHARGE! All we have to do is get it to the factory. Since we're only 5 hours away, that shouldn't be a huge undertaking.

I KNEW we made the right choice 5 years ago to go with Forest River!!

That's really great of them to do so.

Yep they are GREAT - they replaced the wall of our 5er for free when they noticed it was delaminating!

Has the vinyl flooring changed much in 5 years? The stuff we have now is terrible. It has a pebbly texture, making it impossible to keep clean. Hmmm...does this mean we get new carpet too? Ours is in need of replacement, that's for sure!

That's great that they are taking care of you....bad that they have to, but great that they are. Persistence, firm but polite attitude pays off.

Definitely an ongoing issue. Sounds like they do 4 to 5 floors a week. Theyre going to try to reinforce our floor over the standard. I don't want this happening again in another 3 years!

You are very fortunate. But when you are several thousand miles away that changes.

Yes, we are definitely fortunate, in that we are only 5 hours from the factory.
