So I guess I own a house boat now...

No rain forecast today at all. Came home from camping this morning and parked it in the normal spot.

Luckily its flowing out into the street at this level, so it won't get high enough to touch the bottom of the floor.

Southern Ohio.

It hit 100* today, and I guess the humidity got too high and it turned into rain.

Great day! Ohio hotter than here.

Odd, odd August weather in the US of A.

You might want to pull the tires and drums, clean them up with some brake cleaner. Odds are, you got some mud and debris in there.

Whats crazy is, we'd had it plugged in. The 30-15amp adapter was UNDER water and still working. As soon as I realized it I hauled ass to the garage and unplugged it. Plugged in a circuit tester expecting a popped breaker, but everything was still good.

Very good point.

From now on, we'll be parking it about 10' further to the left. Just makes it a pain because I have to back the truck up to it while the front of my truck is in between the open gate to the fenced in backyard.

Looks like you need to cut a drainage ditch out to the street.

French drains are ran all through the backyard. Its already drained. We just got an absolutely insane amount of rain. Weather Underground.com says we got 2.5 inches in less than 2 hours.

I'm in Columbus for work at it hit up here too. Lots of rain. Glad it didn't reach the bottom of the flooring.

That totally sucks. Make sure you redo the bearings after that too. Common maintence for a boat trailer.

Fresh water is not as dielectric as most people think. Now if that'd been seawater ...

It's only a boat if it floats.

Right now you just have a RV on waterfront property. People pay a premium for lots like that usually.

Repack bearings too. Check for rust.

My bad. Should have read more dielectric. You are correct "not as conductive" would have been better.

Nope. But muddy fresh water is very conductive.
