Solar Stair Lights

DH wants to get these for the stairs on our deck. We have two sets of stairs with four steps each and he wants to put two on each step (one on each side of the step). It would be 16 total lights. They cost about $25.00 a pair. That's $200.00. In my experience solar lights burn out pretty easy, so that's a lot of potentially wasted money.
Does anyone have experience with these? How long do they last? Does anyone stub their foot or trip on them?

Thanks for the input.

All I know about solar lights is the panel can get cloudy pretty quick. That seems pretty pricey.

I think they are pricey too. This is the first year I've seen them. Think I'll wait to see how it goes for other folks using them. Also, prolly be less expensive next year if they're that new right now.
