Congrats on the new GD camper. I subscribe to a YouTube channel by "RVProject" and he bought a new GD too and while he likes it, in video he shows how they ran the wiring and flexible ducts in his 5er. Looks the same as my Rockwood TT.

I have been looking and researching Grand Design for three years now. I will probably get a reflection 5er in the next couple of years. I really like their product. But let me tell you there are some real horror stories out there from GD owners, and I mean some really scary tales! Just want to make sure everyone knows they are not a whole lot different than any other brands if you dig deep on the web.

I agree to a certain extent. Sometimes though, due to marketing, a brand will attain status it doesn't necessarily warrant. I've seen this happen in the boating industry where a certain brand IS built better but not to the point where the premium price is justified. I'm not making a judgement on Grand Design RV's, I've never seen one.

We looked at the GD and Salem Hemisphere and we liked the Hemisphere better and purchased it. So far so good.

Yes and Winnebago wasted no time knocking off the GD Imagine 2800BH, which has to be their most popular model. They even added the LED nose cap lights that GD is known for. Winnie gives lots of exterior color options that are not available on the Imagines.
Our friends have an Imagine and it is nice with an appealing floor plan, which we almost bought the same, but even they think our Flagstaff is an upgrade. For $10G more, it should be.
