They bought the unit from a dealer. The RV had to be delivered. That 50 mile check you speak of should have been done by the delvery driver

I still say the problem is on the truck side. If the plug is pushed into truck receptacle, the lid should hold it in place. If the lid doesn't catch the tab on top of the plug, or just barely, pull the receptacle, loosen the wire clamp at the rear and screw on side of housing, gently pull wires and push a plug into receptacle until it is seated properly. Then retighten.

Jim bought a new plug today from a FR dealer and the new plug stays in the FW and truck receptacles.

Problem solved. Now to see if FR will reimburse us.

Thanks for the help but how can both the truck receptacle (bumper) and the new installed truck bed receptacle (in bed of truck) both go bad at the same time?

Even with a new unit there will be lots of little issues to deal with....FR has been great to us....they have always gone over and beyond good service....we got in the system at CW on our first small problem and was taken care of with great care and service from CW and FR....since our dealer was a couple hundred miles from us and CW in town and everywhere we travel .....we tried them out and so far so good....

I am very happy with our FR Salem. Dealer finally put SOLD on their AD. FV said as long as we bring our receipt any dealer that sells FR will work on warranty items.
