I have a "staging" area in our bedroom that is making my husband crazy. I keep coming the house with something to add to the pile.

PRACTICAL (as get used the most, if not every trip):
1. Solid rubber chocks from Harbor Freight
2. 30 amp to 50 amp electrical adapter (as I have encountered several campground outlets where the 30 amp outlet was faulty/loose)
3. Plate Caddies
4. X-Chocks and Valterra RV stabilizer underneath the entrance steps.
5. Barker electric tongue jack, to replace the LCI OE one
6. Outdoor mat. I don't guess I realize how much dirt that thing collects until I forgot to bring it last trip. I was constantly sweeping out the trailer with my expandable broom.
7. Fresh water hose quick connect... attached between my RV's fresh water connection and 90 degree elbow with spigot. Saves wear and tear on city connection, relieves pressure off hose, along with a spigot if I need water outside. It takes me about 20 seconds to attach my fresh water hose to the campground supply and my trailer with this setup.

NO one has mentioned zero gravity chairs!
Yes, I am "gotta buy it, it's for the RF doncha know? everyone else says it's a must have!" afflicted. And yes, when we bought our new V-Lite last year, the guest bedroom became "staging central".
For us the BEST non-essential purchase has been our zero gravity chairs. Better than Ambien when it comes to checkin' eyelids for pinholes.
P.S. wmtire, glad to see you posting. just told DH last night I was worried 'bout ya, haven't seen you post in a few days

Those are BRASS!

"honey it's not for the RV this time, this is something we'll use at least 2 dozen times a day!" right?

Maybe we need to come up with a similar term for RV'ers.
Maybe like FERVOR...Funding Every Recreational Vehicle Optional Refinement

Maybe "Frogals" for these forum members. Lol

oops
One of the best buys I've made. Hose goes in the bottom leaving a faucet available all the time. Can hook up a mister, extra hose, shower hose, etc. I use it mostly to cleanup after hooking up and breaking camp. Last thing disconnected. (Sprayed with Lysol each time)

Dave, I use the same as per my post #42. You can improve on this by using the quick connects (also in post 42). Permanently attach the brass female quick connect to the combination faucet (leave your hose attached to the combo faucet), then permanently/screw on attach the male quick connect to your RV fresh water inlet.
Now all you have to when setting up/breaking down....is do/undo the quick connect from your RV, and screw/unscrew the other end of the hose from the camp faucet. Fast and furious.
Another advantage of this combo faucet (at least on my trailer) is it's almost directly overhead of my sewer connection. When I am at campgrounds with full hookups, that after dumping, I can undo the sewer hose from the RV (leaving the other end in the sewer)...............turn on the quick connected faucet overhead, and hold the sewer hose end under the water stream a few feet down, and it will completely wash out my hose.

Excellent! Love having this thing on the back side. I've hooked up the DW misting hose/fan to it in the summer, bathed the dog with a spare hose, hosed down dity concrete pads, etc with the extra hose connection. Coolest thing is, Good Sam sent it to me free, along with extended gutter drips, when we first joined in 2005. They sent the all brass but after I broke the turn handle off the faucet, I replaced it with a plastic one. Still got the brass and a new handle for it.
When we camped at Buffalo Point last year, the whole group (30+ family) all used it as a place to rinse sand off their feet after walking up from the river. Just threw a mat on the ground under it. Funny how something so simple can be so useful.

That's the killer, right there..... I've learned to stay away from CW as much as possible. BUT - I'm thinking that new fangled sewer hose thingy might work better.......than the last new fangled sewer hose thingy

Antigravity chair for hubby ( Now I just ordered one for me to cuz I was jealous)
Margarita mix ready made
Over the door towel rack with 8 hooks on it for bathroom. Walmart has a very pretty one in silver.

Those orange Leveler blocks to carry around instead of wood to put the jack/stabilizers on.
