Spring Destinations?

Since winter is here, we are already thinking of some ideas for early Spring camping. Who has some good suggestions? Please keep in mind we have 3 active children. Thanks!!

We live in Illinois and like to go for a week to ten days when the kids are off for school break.

If you wanted to drive a bit...door county Wisconsin is nice. As are the Dell's. Indiana dunes state park is also close by.

We do FL for spring break. Usually Ft Myers Beach, but this year we are camping at Disney. Probably won't do the Disney parks, but will go to Universal.

I just noticed the early spring time frame...please dismiss my suggestion and head south!!! You might get good weather at Kentucky lake and Land Between the Lakes. It will still be cool at night but should be good in the day time. Just need to watch for those spring storms.

Chattanooga, TN has a lot of attractions, depending on the age of your kids. Also...
Pigeon Forge, TN
Crater of Diamonds, AR
Vicksburg Battlefield, MS
Branson, MO

Any missouri floating streams are good. Current river, jacks fork etc are entertaining for families. Closer than fla too

We are heading down as soon as you leave! . Actually we leave the 28th and head back the following weekend. For us, spring break in Orlando has always been a crap shoot. I want low 80s and we usually have low 70s or mid 60s, (even 50s) hence the reason we usually go on down to Ft Myers. We've actually had warmer weather in OH than we had in Orlando in March.

Last year, we went to James Island County Park outside of Charleston and we had a blast. We have 2 DDs, who are now 9 and 6.

It has a fabulous playground, lots of bike trails, a wonderful dog park, is about a 10 minute drive to the ocean, has fishing onsite on a river and a pond.

It has a climbing wall as well as a water park, but the water park probably won't be open due to the temps.

When we were there, the last week of March, temps were in the 70s during the day, but down into the high 40s at night and we did get rain.....about 6" in a 12 hour period. We had lots of standing water, but it was gone in about 4-6 hours.

There are lots of things to do in the Charleston area and some great restaurants.

Will be in Queen Creek AZ Feb 17 - 25 for a large model glider competition... There will be about 100 of us there and about 1/3 of us camp. It's at Schnepf Farms... Fun stuff every day, and every night there are cookouts and camp fires.
