On the last weekend of June each year Ham Radio operators take to the great outdoors. Maybe you'll see some.

They're easy to spot. Just look for the antennas. The really big antennas!

(But they generally stay out of RV parks, preferring open fields instead.)

I don't know what call they will use but Fayette County (GA) ARES and Fayette Amateur Radio Club will be on air all 24 hours. If I get the time I'll head over there and log a few contacts.

Are you referring to fill day the last weekend in June? Our club participates in that. I'll be there for a short time in the evening.

I did Ocracoke for USIslands and IOTA way back in 2000 or so.

Are you taking the RV? Where were you going to set up?
