Starting THE wave!
So I'm starting something new this year. Ha ha. You now how motorcycle give each other a little wave when they pass each other? I've started doing the same with RV'ers.
So, if you see someone pulling a camper ... giving a little wave, wave back! lol

I do this. It's a running joke in our truck because I get back a wave maybe 1 out of 20 times. I've even taking to rolling my window down and waving idiotically (though, we've been afraid that maybe I'm alarming people into thinking their is something wrong!).
The real problem is- most of the time, the sun glare is such that you can't be seen until you and the other RVer are right on top of and passing each other.
But, I'll continue to wave- even if for no other reason than to have a running count of who does/doesn't wave.

Oh, wait.. "some other brand"... yeah, them too. I generally can't tell the brand of campers as we're driving towards each other.

Indeed we do Ron! I believe the 'American Eagle' wave is appropriate for "sob's"

Between the driving the rig, updating my facebook page, and eating a burger, I'm kinda outta hands to wave. I'd flash my high-beams, but that takes a hand too, nowadays. I'm trying to get the dog trained up where she could take the wheel for a few minutes...

I'm not going to lie, I wont be the first to wave, but I'll wave back! When I daily drove my jeep wrangler I always waved to other jeepers, but in the last few years so many none jeepers own jeeps now that they are too busy trying to look cool in their dealer lifted jeep to bother waving! That kinda burned any kind of wave for me!
It takes a lot of effort to lift the top 4 fingers off of the steering wheel to say hi, and then get nothing in return....lol...

It's almost like you are invading their privacy!
I waved and flashed my lights to 3 Windjammers and a VCross on the last trip. I didn't so much as get half a peace sign back!

The "Wave" as you call it is SOP in the south as practically everyone waves at everyone they meet on the highway, streets or sidewalks. Just a natural thing to do, like saying "Hi, how ya doing?" to everyone. Did it while I was in the NY/Newark area for Lockheed the first time and people looked at me like I had the measles, didn't do it anymore after that when in that area. Just different customs. I do like the idea of the wave tho!
