Actually, I sneaked my own in. My bride thought that was hilarious.

We have been to that show 3 times. Considered taking silverware--figured they would run us out. Lol

We are not so strict. If we, jointly, camped in a State regardless of RV, we get a sticker. (IMO it would be a drag to have to reset every time you bought a new RV )

Now, if your DW will not buy into the above, do like Bob says and buy a camper in Hawaii

Or do what we plan: Fly to Hawaii and rent a RV.

Problem Solved

Same thing you do at Medieval Times Russell: Use the silverware you were born with

Our map is "head hit the pillow". We drove through the spike of Idaho 3 times dragging the trailer but that sticker is still missing. Wasting an extra day when we could be spending it with the Grandkids, just seemed a shame just for a sticker.

We did an 11 state tour last summer in the new TT and put a sticker on for every one that we traveled through. I think we stayed at least overnight in all but one, and considering we drove right through the middle of it,we counted it too. I like the "no rules" thing, it is supposed to be fun isn't it?

we consider the map to be a record of our camping, not our traveling,.....we don't count a state unless we've CAMPED in a campground at least one night, ...... and just traveling thru and sleeping at a WalMart or Welcome Center(which we have done) is not camping to us, its just a stop on our way to our camping destination, .... but then it has been correctly said that we all do get to make our own rules about the map,.... so I guess we could also mark a state if we INTEND to go there ............

Ours is where we did "visiting/tourist" type things. Our current TT has only been in Oklahoma. No reset for new RV.

We have officially adopted the sleepover rule. We left early on a recent trip to Gettysburg just so we could sleep over in NY and add the sticker to the map.

We collect a pin from each park/place we visit ! Framed and hangs in our dining area of the A-frame ! As you can see, we are fans of the National Park System.

So what about the RV, does the map reset when it is replaced?

You are going to get a LOT of answers and opinions on this. MY personal opinion is the map tells others where I have camped, so to me it is not about the trailer. With only a couple of years on the current TT and trading it in 2017, we will move to a FW and I will keep the map as is.
I look at other's maps and think "They have camped a LOT of places", instead of: "That trailer has been a lot of places". If it is the trailer that earns the places visited stickers, then the next owner would just add more to it when they camp. That doesn't seem right, does it? Kind of like buying an old suitcase at the second hand store and leaving all the travel stickers on it. Others will go "You visited there?" and you would say "Nope, the suitcase did."
