Stove hood question

Since we have never had a travel trailer before, we are trying to learn everything about our trailer before the camping season gets here. Our stove hood is vented to the outside and when I looked at it from the outside, it looks like there is some kind of cover over the opening but I didn't want to mess with it and break it so I thought I would ask here first. Is there something I need to remove when we set up at the campground?

Shouldn't have to remove it, but you do need to unclip it.

If it's like mine, there's two clips at the bottom that free it, then it swings in place. On the way out, clip it up again.

Ours was a pain to open the first few times until the clips loosened up.

Put your two thumbs on the flat part of the clips and push up and out to release it.

Many people complain about them being a PITA to latch; mine is too, so once I have it open for the season, I've rarely closed it again.
