Strange there are no RV shows this fall in my area

For the first time since we started to become interested in Rvs there are no fall RV shows in the Triad, Raleigh, or Charlotte area of North Carolina. Not even the ones put on by Camping World. Anyone else that lives here notice that? Is that a good sign or a bad sign? I Googled till there was no more Googling and couldn't find anything. I did find old info and web pages on past years fall shows here but none this year.

How about other areas. Seems I read you people talking about shows in the other states so what gives?

There are shows in Greensboro, NC and Charlotte, NC in January, but I don't know of anything before that. I've not seen anything in Nebraska yet.

There's a list of the ones of which we're aware on the "Events & Calendar" page of the FROG website.

I just found the Omaha Boat, Sports & Travel Show, February 19-22, Century Link Center in Omaha. However, this appears to be heavily weighted toward hunting and fishing, with little representation by RV dealers so far.

I think the RV dealers just see no need for them this year. The economy is booming so much they cannot keep units in stock. People are buying these things like crazy. When I was looking for my pop up the closest one was in MD about 1000 miles away. No dealers north of that along the east coast had them. I had to fully prepaid order the unit without ever seeing one. Had to buy it based off a picture and a floor plan.

If you want an RV you have to understand it is a sellers market and they just do not need to put that much time and effort in.

I think once the economy turns during the next recession it will be better. But until then, we just need to hold on.

Vin.

We've never been to an RV show but there's a huge one scheduled in Denver in January.

What neat things, besides the latest RV's, do they usually have?

My point exactly. It's a good thing for the manufacturers and dealers. Maybe not so good for the buyers.

Sorry Not so in the area near Greensboro NC & Southern Virginia we are still in the Recession High unemployment ....No jobs No Money..... no need for RV shows. Our local RV Dealer is dealing to get rid of his inventory.... Come on down...........

Come to the Race this weekend the county needs the tax money... The speedway is now one of the county's largest employers even if it is only a few weeks. Never recovered from the 22% unemployment.

Never ever saw fall rv show up here in New England. People are too busy looking for rakes and snow shovels this time of year up here.

There are shows in Massachusetts in January and in February; in New York (which I realize isn't part of New England) in February and in March; and in New Jersey over Halloween weekend and in January and February.

Go to www.forestriverfrog.com/events and sort the event list by state to help you find an event near you.

Actually, the six New England states are ME, VT, NH, MA, CT, and RI. PA was an original Colony, but not a part of New England.

Pa is considered Mid-Atlantic I think. It's a good 400 miles from where I live in PA up to Massachusetts.
The Hershey RV show was the first (or 2nd?) week of September this year. Tom and I went....twice! 😉
Lots of big motor homes this year but very few smaller options for us "poor folk." 😉😄
