Agreed. And commercials were lackluster, too.

Hope you opted for camping. Unless you're a die-hard Pats fan, you just saw the worst, most boring football game ever. Not the most boring Super Bowl, the most boring football game. That wasn't great defense. That was just awful offensive execution and game plan. I've seen preseason games that were better than that.

Chiefs, Saints, and their fans are sitting home pondering, "How in the world did we lose to these guys?!"

At least Budweiser spent about $100 billion to tell us over and over and over that it doesn't use corn syrup to brew its beer. And, I suppose that's a good thing ... for reasons.

After Gladys Knight and her great rendition of the national anthem, it was all downhill.

Yep, it was a lackluster game for sure. The playoff games are always better.

I enjoy some of Maroon 5 but the halftime show was a non-event. The best part was the drones.

I do believe from now on, my NFL season will end at the playoffs. The Superbowl is much to PC these days. The referee/instant replay system also has to be fixed.

I'm just hoping Brady takes a page from Elway's book and retires at the peak of his career. It's time.

After listening to myself rant, maybe I should just ditch NFL and stick solely to NHRA and NASCAR

We left home before XMas for warmer weather and I would never waste that weather for some stupid ball game.

I am prolly in the minority here... I would not care if they ever played another professional game. I have several friends who care nothing of it either. YMMV

I have no problem with folks who care nothing of any pro sporting events. What does bug me is folks who refuse to interact with, or look down on, those that do.

We have a large RVing group that frequently RVs together. About a third of these folks do not follow sports. But they enjoy the group events with the rest of us. Most times finds us in the middle of the Gila National Forest backwoods where there is usually at least one TV setup outside and tuned to sporting event. So we sit around and eat, play cards, drink beer, sit around the fire, AND watch a sporting event for a few hours when one is available. It's not like watching televised sports is all you do when RVing!

Fun for all

Not to step into the speech that violates the rules of the forum, but commercials cant be good anymore. Every retailer, product, etc is TERRIFIED of offending someone. If people had a sense of humor we could have funny commercials again. Go Patriots.

I think you are exactly right. In fact, you and I have no doubt offended someone somewhere with these opinions.

spent the weekend at our cabin. No TV hooked up in there. Nice 50" hanging on the wall, but we only put in DVD's for the grandkids.

Haters gotta hate. Doesn't matter, The GOAT did it again! Belichick, Brady, and the Pats are the Super Bowl Champs again!

I hope you went camping because the superbowl really sucked. It was so bad i went to Walmart after the first Quarter. I hope the NFL lost money on this fiasco. We want football not Hollywood a-holes.

Not to mention delinquents.

When the Colorado Bronco's moved their training headquarters into what is now "Centennial" their new location was right next to the County Justice Center (aka Jail). People joked that that would make the commute for many of their players shorter as more than a few were serving work-release sentences for various crimes.

As for their being overpaid, that won't stop as long as people are willing to pay ridiculous prices for tickets and continuing to watch on TV so advertisers will pay obscene amounts for ads.

FWIW, the game wasn't even available on our local Cable Provider. They parted ways with CBS last year over demands for huge rebroadcast fees. Nobody seems to be complaining either. (The provider is a large Fios provider in the area).

Well I have to say, I would have preferred to be camping, but other issues kept that from happening. Since I could care less who won the game, I didn't watch it, from what I'm reading and have heard, the only thing I missed was the national anthem - that was knocked out of the park. Didn't find out who won until I saw a report on the news this morning.

I will say that I have enjoyed social outings where the game was on, but none of my group wanted to host this year.
