Suspension upgrade

I'm thinking about upgrading the suspension on our 2000 sierra 30 ft tt. What I'm looking at is replacing the shackles with Mor/ryde heavy duty shackle kit. The shackles are thicker than standard and the bushings are bronze instead of plastic. The bolts can be lubricated. I would also replace the equalizer with the CRE/3000 with rubber in them.
5 years ago one shackle had the end tore out. I replaced all of them then but I like the idea of getting stronger ones. We put quite a few miles on each year.
Anyone have an opinion one way or the other?

I have the equa flex also and like the tow ride quality not to mention the reduction in noise with the wet bolts.

TT suspension upgrade

One guy on the forum just removed his Equaflex or something similar as one side wore out a tire from the rubber evidently degraded on one side and was shorter than the other.

One rubber was 1/4" shorter than the other and he took the whole mess off and replaced it with the standard cast "Walking beam".

Thanks for the replies. Good info. Since I want to use the more ride shackles and bushings I Wil use the CRE 3000 equalizer also.It looks pretty much like the same thing. When a shackle broke once before we were laid up for a $3.00 part out in the Black Hills. I replaced the 5 year old D load tires last fall with E load tires and all new brakes with backing plates then too. After upgrading the suspension hopefully we will be trouble free for some time.

I like that style of equalizer. Not a fan off the Dexter EZFlex equalizer. Had them go bad twice. Just put the solid equalizer on that know works. Will check on different equalizer or if shocks would be the same.

Shocks are the answer, not equalizers! IMHO
