Sw6de in a 98 Salem doesn't work at all.

Hey all. New to this forum. I bought a 98 Salem last year. Just went to try the hwh, sw6de, doesn't work on gas or ac. The hwh has the ac plug connected and outlet is good. There was 3 wires in hwh compartment broken off at the wall that run to the dsi switch, a red, blue, and green. The wires look like they should run to a holder on the hwh then some inside an some run to the control board, green and blue I believe. None had any power on either side. I'm not to concerned with the gas function yet, just tired of the wife yelling about no hot water so I gotta fix something. I replaced the element, made sure it was full of water before I flipped the rocker switch in the hwh compartment, waited 15-20 minutes and still had no water. Any suggestions on where to start or what to look for? Whether it's related or not I'm not sure, but none of my gfci outlets work either, and there's no reset on them. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

I read through that a few times. Im mainly looking to make mine work on electric but either will be fine. I have no power to the unit from 12 volt switch inside camper. I can't find a fuse for it so I'm not to sure what to do

I would venture a guess the 110v hi limit is tripped or burnt out. It would be one of the two rubber buttons in the black plastic box on the back of the wh.

If those are the buttons under the big rubber cover we tries to push them in and they don't move or anything.

Btw you will NOT have hot water in 15 minutes.

How did you insure water tank is full?

I knew the water wouldn't be hot. We assumed it would be warm. At least some different then the hose. I ran the taps inside til water came consistent after I flipped the valve in the water heater itself.

Not sure what you mean "flipped the valve in the water heater"

"Pressure relief valve"?

Idk the exact name. It's the only valve in the water heater an the only one that every forum I've read references to. At the top of the heater there's a small metal tab to pull up and let the water drain until the air is out
