tail light rust

I have a 2008 Sierra 355RLT and the metal ring around the tail lights is rusting and leaving a streak of rust below the tail lights.
Does anyone know if Forest River has addressed this problem and what I can use to remove the rust stain from fiberglass.
I would appreciate any help.
Thank You

HUH? Mine are plastic and the only issue I had was all the accumulation of dirt inside the lenses. Take them off, clean them up and use some spray paint on the inside to stop the rusting. A good quality polish should clean the body of rust stains.
