Talking about Propane

Do you guys use any of these magnetic tank indicatiors, or in line fuel guages on your propane tanks? Is there something really worthwhile that works on the market?

My 2009 Sandpiper came with or I ordered ,don't remember, the Automatic Switch thing on the propane tanks. I never know what tank I'm running on or how much I got left? I guess theres a switch on there that points to the tank your on?

Anyway I wish I knew how much propane I have left at any given time, with out pulling off the shroud, unhooking them, weighing them or whatever.

I read somewhere pouring hot water on a tank will tell you also.

Will those in line guages work or interfere with that auto switch I have?

Any advice?

If you pour hot water down the side of the tank, the propane level is the point where the tank starts to feel cool. Works every time and the price is right!
