Question Tassimo vs Keurig Coffee makers

I have seen a couple of posts about winterizing coffee makers, but what I am most interested in is finding out which one people like, Tassimo or Kuerig and can get coffee for? I was down in Florida last spring and I wasn't able to purchase coffee for my Tassimo, but all the stores (Walmart and grocery) I went to had the K cups for the Kuerig. Is this the same all across the southern states from Florida to New Mexico? My wife and I will be full timing in a couple of years and it won't be a problem here in Canada, but we are wondering about state side. Thanks for any and all advice.

Kuerig throughout the US is easy to come by. We have a Kuerig in our home and our camper. Wouldn't leave home without it.

I have use a Keurig machine at home and keep a portable Keurig french press in my 5er. I like the simplicity and space savings of the french press when weekending.

Keurig.. I've been dragging my home one with us. But I'm going to buy a compact one that lives in the RV. You can't beat the value generally the pods are under $.40 each and a great variety.

That French press looks very cool. And I'm assuming it doesn't use any electricity.

I microwave the water if I'm have electric and want that first cup quickly. The top of the press doubles as a microwave safe measuring cup. I have more patience with the second cup and use the burner to heat a kettle for that and the wife's tea.

Do you find it pretty comparable to the standard countertop unit? I mean does that coffee come out about the same?

We have a Hamilton Beach Flexbrew. it makes a pot using ground coffee, or a cup using Kuerig K cups.

I can't taste a difference but I also try to press it so that it flows through the pod at the same rate as my home machine.

We hardly ever see Tassimo pods in stores.
But see all kinds of Keurig cups, from all kinds of different companies.
