Our two daughters are grown with children of their own. They were pretty good as teens, but it was still a rough time between about 14 and early 20's. They loved camping with us and their grandparents when they were little, but would have no part of it during the "rough" time. Now, our older daughter comes with us nearly every time we go. Our younger daughter will go too, if her husband will spring for their own camper with toilet facilities. She is a little more picky than her sister. With any luck we will have the whole group camping soon.

On a funny note, my son, who I wrote about on the first post of this thread, got his first paycheck five weeks ago. I asked to see his pay stub. He was only concerned with the bottom line, the actual cash. We looked it over and he got really concerned, outraged even, because of the deductions. He stated, in an alarming tone of voice, "Who is FICA, whats a state tax, what is federal tax?" I told him "Son, have you ever seen an unwed mother getting free stuff, like food stamps at the grocery store you work at"? He said he did. I told him he was paying for them. He was pissed.

Like others have said, just hang in there. I have 2 sons(ages 22 and 20). If you raised them right, and it sounds like you did, things will work out. My 2 went through that stage. Now the oldest is a Sergeant in the U.S. Army with the 101st Airborne and the youngest is graduating from college this June and is most of the way through the hiring process for the Indiana State Police.

I love my children. I love my grandchildren more. I can send them home when they start getting rowdy.
