Those of us in the Northern States have a while to go even though in our area we have had a remarkably mild Winter. (SW Pa) That said, we keep our motor home at home and I am considering moving out there any day now. Can't wait to get on the road again. Bravo to those already enjoying the life.

I was camping on the beach in LA at Dockweiler Campground on Super Bowl Sunday. My Dish Satelitte on my roof broke and wouldn't automatically stowe away. I didn't have the right tools on me to go up on roof and manually store it. I thought, well if I can't find someone in the park with the right wrench, I won't be going anywhere. There are worse places to get stuck than at the beach and 80 degree weather.😀

Last weekend went to Delta Shore RV in Isleton CA on the Sacramento Delta. The weather was perfect for watching the Daytona 500 with friends and family.

Last weekend outing was.......can't remember. Since retirement a couple of years ago I have found that weekends just don't work anymore. My minimum for hauling the camper somewhere and setting it up is a full week, and I really enjoy that new luxury. I manage to do it once a month, year-round.

Before that, I would take a monthly three-day weekend, but that always ended up being taking a Friday off, but still only camping for two nights. Now, even with a week - or sometimes two - I still dread having to undo all that setting up and coming home.

Our last weekend outing was our first and only one so far. We purchased our first Motorhome Nov. 2. We went to a nearby campground because we couldn't wait until Spring and we had an interesting weather weekend. It started out raining, turned to sleet and then snow. The temperature dropped down to 13 with 15 mile an hour winds. We ended up with 4 inches of snow and some cold walks to the bathroom and shower, but man it was great. I'm hoping to take it out for a couple of days again over Spring break, but if we can't get the time off work, we will wait until June and hit the road running

Wish I could tell you about our weekend camping.

We have a site booked tonight and tomorrow night, but our two girls are both projectile vomiting. Don't want that in our new camper.
