Thanks to Hermine.

Thanks to hermine, i discovered that my solar panel and battery bank are useless for the residential fridge in our sandpiper. The inverter will not work below 12v. and the battery will not stay at 12v very long even with the solar panel recharging it. I took my group 31 battery out of my big truck and even it wouldn't run it an hour before the voltage dropped and the inverter shut off. OH well live and learn. Just a heads up for everyone else.

You mention a battery bank, how many batteries do you have running in parallel?

One originally, but wound up switching to two group 31 battieries. Even had my truck hooked up with 4/0 cables. That kept it running for a while.

Two batteries are not going to last that long, maybe 12 hours or so. It takes a generator or engine alternator running for a while to keep things stable. My 4 battery system "should" last 24 hours, but I seldom go that long without generator time. Solar can top things off but less than 800 watts will not keep up.

Yeah, I learned this the hard way. I don't have a Genny and had hoped the panel would keep things going but that wasn't the case.

Looks like you're in the market for a 2K inverter genny. There has been a lot
of discussion lately about some other less expensive brands that are giving
Honda a run for their money.
(At least you didn't post-- "there's a huge tree on my sandpiper"!!)

Good luck!

Yeah, a tree did get an RV behind me. Actually 2 RVs, but luckily no one was in them. But yes I'm gonna be looking a Genny. Probably a truck mount as I have a 4700 international as my TV.
