The Long Long Trailer dvd

I'm not trying to promote a particular movie rental
company but if you've got a bit of cabin fever
this time of year and have not seen this movie
I highly recommend it.

If you've ever laughed at an episode of "I Love Lucy" you will
get a kick out of this one.
It's Lucy and Ricky on a road trip in an impossibly big
(long)
travel trailer.

Well worth a look just for the scenery and nostalgia
not to mention the laughs.
Available by mail on Netflix.com but not on instant
view

Oh, yeah-- FYI this is a DVD of a very old film
movie. The sound is mono- not stereo, not
hi-fi, not surround.
It's actually a bit garbled in places but we found
it easily watchable and a real hoot.
Hope you do too!

We have seen it many times. We bought it and love it. It's I Love Lucy and RVing all rolled up in one. Classic.

We found a copy of the movie at Camping World a few years ago and enjoy watching it.

i watched it and it was quite hilarious!

related to movie, not one person has been able to tell me what that bogey wheel thing is at the bumper of the car where the trailer hooks on and hence no-one can tell me how it works...

On another group that discussion came up some time ago.
There is/was a company that still sells them.
The contraption is a dolly that carries the weight
of the tongue of the trailer. The dolly is then
hitched to the car. Backing one of them would
be next to impossible and the thing is probably not
even legal in some states.

Better to have a bad day of camping than a good day at work!

Now I`m not 100% sure on when W/D came out, but i think the dolly that carries the weight of the tongue was pre W/D.

And here is another question, at one point in the movie they said "we`ve still got a thousand miles to go yet". where exactly were they headed too? seems like they were only on the road for a week. and at the beginning of the movie the guy that was going to buy it stated it had 7000 miles on it. that`s alot of mileage in a short period of time. either way it`s a great movie!
