Some folks like to use lists to avoid forgetting things which is good. Before every trip I go thru a mental plan of everything we are going to do and what we will need to them with. This will catch many things you forget to put on your list. Works pretty good for me.

The DW and I are full-timers and when we were at the dealer dropping off the old 5er and picking up our new Silverback. the one spot i didnt check was under the table which we had setup as the bed to give us more room to have stuff staged to move between trailers. and under that table was the small server i keep to back up our laptops and store our music and movie collections. Luckily when i called the dealer back up they were able to locate it and we were able to have a family member swing by and pick it up for us.

Had our initial shake down cruise last week. We forgot measuring cups, measuring spoons and mixing bowls. We gave a waffle breakfast for 9 and we just improvised with what we had...guessing at measurements and mixing the pancake mix in a cereal bowl. Also forgot a can opener....a dang can opener. Took us 30 minutes to open up two cans of cubed chicken.

I have carried a can opener on my key chain since 1969, when I was 16 years old.

Back then pop tops on beverage cans were designed to pull off. They sometimes broke.

I pack the food that needs to be kept cool in grocery bags the night before we leave so i can just pop them in the coolers. Well, i forgot to check the crispers and forgot all the nice veggies i had chopped up. We ate them the next week but I was annoyed.
