The Wave.....

In my travels as a Harley-Davidson owner I've done it, and I have seen Corvette owners do it also...they wave at each other. Whether it's the Harley "two fingers down" or the Corvette "steering wheel wave" they are a family of sorts and always acknowledge that.

Why don't other RVers wave back? I always throw up a wave and never get one back. Why?? We're the same type of family as the other owner groups right? I always enjoyed that friendly connection with someone else sharing my love for a certain sport or vehicle.

Maybe we can start a Wave Revolution right here on FRF! Just maybe...

So if you see a big black GMC van pulling a cocoa brown Rockwood-expect a wave from BiigDaddy because I'm starting it.

I wave all the time. Maybe people are white knuckle driving and need both hands on the wheel? Going thru MI on the way to Goshen, I will look for you!

Funny this came up! On my travel north this past thurs I passed a guy who waved at me but I never saw him. My wife pointer it out and said you just snubbed that guy. Honestly I'm very friendly and would of waved back but must of been watching the road to closely. I'm the guy walking the campground and always say hello to people.

I have done a lot of waving from my Vette and Bike.

On/in those, there is a lot of cruising around on residential streets and that is where the waving goes on mostly.

In the Motorhome most travel is freeway and hard to see people in other rigs from across the median.

Funny to see this post/query. Same ? Came up last week with DW
I am new (months) to RV but just last week coming back from our second weekend trip, I passed oncoming a fellow TT person and waved? My wife questioned...gee is that done here too?
I too was a vett, bike, Harley, and boater....and always waved.
I'm just a friendly guy. If I'm on my tractor cutting my grass down around my mailbox 600 feet from my house and a very rural area, and I see a car coming at a distance I position myself for a neighborly wave when he/she comes by.
Don't want to be labeled rude.

We usually have Google take us through two lane roads. It usually isn't much longer and you get to see the real America so I guess I should've been more specific. Farm country typically doesn't leave one white knuckled yet is close enough to share a wave

Being from the south, I always look for the opportunity to pass a wave...always worked when on the motorcycle and truck but with the RV...not so much! LOL

Coop, that's cool that you wave at mopeds. My 15 year old son rides a moped and thinks it ROCKS when bikers wave! Keep it up, you're inspiring a while new generation of riders! Oh, and I always waved at all bikers too... even mopeds

I'm a Jeep owner, so I wave at every Jeep I see, even when I am in my motorhome. I also wave at every camper I see. It doesn't bother me when I don't get the wave back, but it is nice when I do.

Tried to post a similar comment earlier today, when the whole forum was going bat guanao crazy.

I drive a Jeep Wrangler. It took me a while to get used to everyone in a Jeep waving at me....but, here in the south folks tend to wave at everyone. DH found that a nice thing about our area.

Yep, we wave at other RVers.

hahaha no mention of the bike though

I wave at scooter guys too, man some of those new ones look sweet, would be nice to throw a gallon of milk in the "trunk" on the way home. As long as you're in the wind or going camping not a thing wrong with either.

Actually at the end of #15 I said I waved at all bikers. Two fists in the wind or something hitched... like you said not a thing wrong with either!
