Getting out to enjoy nature means getting to enjoy all the creepy-crawlies and flying things that are nature.

That is another reason I got off the ground, waking up to find you have become one with a snake can be some what, disquieting.

They don't tell you that the best spots at your favorite campground will be booked the only weekend you can get off work in the next 2 months.

2000 Cherokee 31BH, "flipped axles and raised",LEDs, solar, inverter, etc..aka "boondock ready". '07 Tundra 5.7L DC-LB, modded as well.

They don't show how that the RV in the commercial had to be airlifted to that "special spot"

They don't show you the furnace dying in the middle of the night cause the batteries are dead! Remember- EVERY light on that trailer was on!

They don't show you the bear/bobcat going thru your truck looking for food.

They don't show a Pathfinder trying to climbing ANY grade towing a 28' Airstream (different commercial but same point)

They don't tell you to beware of the weight police if you tow a 5er with your Ecoboost 150!

Yes, I just read the ENTIRE thread "weight police came to my camp site". Can ya tell I'm bored today??

All things considered, I'd rather be campin'!

Our dealer gives the buyer a "starter kit" (got one with both the V-Lite and the 5er we bought in the past year).

The starter kit includes a rinky dink sewer hose, a white water hose, a 2 pack of RV TP, sample packets of sewer chemicals, etc.

I told them to keep it and give me credit. I then got a real sewer hose.

That Rhino Flex with the end caps is awesome stuff!

Advantage of trading from a TT to a 5er, all the operational doo dads I already had, white hose, regulators, TP, chemicals, level, etc. My sewer hose was old and frankly, cheap, so I stepped up.

RhinoFLEX Swivel RV Sewer Kit - Camco 39761 - Sewer Hoses - Camping World

That thing is awesome. It accordions down and stays short, the caps keep stuff inside the hose where it needs to stay, came with a translucent screw in elbow.

Too funny greti !!

The few times I've struggled with it, a new neighbor has offered to spot which helped. If I put the DW back there the bizarre hand signals match the confused look and I usually give up and get out and look every few feet.

I have my wife point which way the tail of the trailer needs to go and I figure it out from there. Then the last two feet she puts her arms up like a referee calling a touchdown and closes them as I get to my stopping point.

I wished I thought of charging for being the entertainment. Once was I getting ready to start backing up two campsites across from mine came out and set up chairs to watch me back it in. Good thing I had some experience and it was an easy site to back into because no one needs any added pressure. Afterwards I heard one of the guys say to his wife "if she can do it you should be able too". Later when I was departing the same group came out to see if I could hitch up.

PS
I wish the videos would show to remove the anti sway bar before trying to back into a space from an angle.

Wow. Reading all these posts brings a smile to my face.. I thought it was only me with these issues. It's very upsetting back then when it all happens, but these now are good memories of the time we all spent with our families.

My family can't wait to get camping again

This made me crack up laughing. Sorry but I could just picture it in my head.
I did something similar with a boat. Took a friend with me and he decided to help me (unknown to me) he unhooked the strap from the front of the boat that holds it to the trailer (trailer had rollers on it under the boat). While backing down the steep launch with him and the kids in the boat I noticed the boat was moving faster than I was... I tried to accelerate and make it to the water but I lost the race. Tore up the prop but had a spare. Winched the boat back on the trailer, changed the prop then went boating. Still laugh about it to this day.
