Whenever something talking about mpg starts out with a decimal point I figure it’s out of my sandbox.

In early 80s our Evac Hospital used ulility packs for power generation. Engine was UH1 modified for a square box. JP4 consumption was somewhere in the 700gpm with normal load. 12 Upacks for fully operational hospital....thats a lot of fuel.

If that doesnt do it, the bill for 350 gallons of diesel should.

Was a lot of fun to drive as long as Uncle Sam was buying the fuel (and the fuel truck wasn't too far away.

Look at the bright side, it could tow 60 tons and winch out up to 120 tons.

You would need one of these in your back yard. (210,000 gal, 75 ft x 75ft)

Then I went and played with one of these after I became a medic. Plenty of room to sleep inside and in the winter it had a heater

Some Nat Guard officer, an Lt. I believe, just took a joy ride in one on the highway in VA or somewhere near there.

Some chase at 40 MPH but I notice that none of the officers volunteered to "PIT" him.

Probably ran out of fuel cause he just stopped for no apparent reason.

When I was on active duty they were called "XM-577's and were gasoline powered. Several were set on fire one blowing the driver out of his hatch like a mortar round at Grafenwohr. (Only place in the world you could be standing in waist deep mud and have dust blow in your face )

Not yet, we're waiting for the Air Force or Navy to check in on that with their C5/C17's and Aircraft Carriers

Like the way the storage boxes slide out with the slide. I had a 1999 Winnebago that the boxes stayed with the slide. Liked that. Those Beavers were nice coaches.

I like the paint stripe continuation when extended. Looks like part of the unit, not an add on.
