Big Beautiful Black 5th Wheel

Saw this beauty parked in a local RV park near a military installation. This is easily the biggest 5th wheel I've ever seen. Triple axels, and at least 50 feet long. Yes, that's the built-in deck option, and yes, that's a 42" TV behind the cover on the wall under the speakers. I stopped to talk to the lady there, and she told me it has TWO bathrooms, and a house-style fridge among its various amenities. She said they are LIVING in it for the next 2 years while stationed at the base.

I saw one just like it at a local RV dealer but it also had a deck out the back of the TT. Also triple slides.

On another site that I'm on, someone posted about their 50' long fifth wheel. They had it custom made. It didn't appear to be nearly as nice as this one.

Did you get a manufacturer at all? I know there was one major manufacturer who was/is offering a deck option.

Things you see in an RV Park

Again, not campground- but saw this at the local grocery store in St. Clair, MI. 4 people got out of it.

Road warrior makes one with both a side and rear deck/patio...heartland may be the brand and road warrior may be the model..

I just don't know of any "regular" manufacturer who makes a 50' fifth wheel. 42-43' seem to be the maximum without a custom build.

I know as a kid, kids would drive their farm tractors to high school. But, that was more idiot kids than actual means of transportation.

Though, most of my life- I've lived in happy suburbia where you don't see this stuff.

Geez, I thought you were coming through this way but I didn't know when. Was hoping to stop and say hello but don't suppose you're still in the area. I recall you had mentioned that you would be staying at 1000 Trails at some point on your journey and we live just a few miles from there.

By the way my neighbor just sold his sand rail and it looked almost exactly like that one. Could be...

I'm actually here until Friday morning. Site C-86.

Just starting a fire now- you should be able to get here by smoke signals alone.

Drove through there again the other day. The rig is a Heartland Road Warrior RT. It's just as pretty every time I see it.

It could very well be the Road Warrior 420. Looks pretty sharp!

Ours is 42' long and comes in at 51' when I lower the rear deck. Looks like a toy hauler but its a rear living room with a full width sliding glass doors.

What is the weight limit for that deck?

I see no supports for it in the pic.

Sticking out over the Grand Canyon? I don't think so!

But in certain places, that would be real nice.
