IMHO. I would not plan to get trailer on time nor have it ready for trip.
You will be frustrated. This industry is not known for great customer service not telling truth when delivery.

Sorry to say.
Bought our 5er and headed 730 miles on the maiden voyage. It was warm in NC when we did the PDI so the furnace was only run for 15 minutes. Called Atwood from FL they sent a tech - problem solved. In the 1st 10 days and 730 miles found a burnt light bulb and the table needed adjusted so not to hit the island when the slide was brought in. In the next 2200 mikes and 35 nights nothing has been found. Keep the faith, go, and have fun.

Matt, remember this, EVERYONE will post all the negative stuff on a forum and only a few will post the positive!

We bought 2 brand new toy haulers in 2 months last year and yes there was a few VERY MINOR fit and finish items that I would have been embarrassed to have taken back to the dealer. I attended to those little nit picky things myself and had a awesome year camping and rock bouncing!!!

As long as it shows up Friday I am confident you will love it!

We are not heading to the OffRoad Show. In the middle of selling a house and building a house on the farm right now and we are flat out short on time and money. LOL This crap of making 2 house payments every month is not the fun I thought it would be. LOL

I'm also in the "not rushing" camp. I hope everything works out and you are out and camping in it right away. Please do keep us updated.

Just curious too, the fiver didn't have enough head room ????? Roof or happy jack beds the problem?? There are a couple mods that are available to raise the beds a few inches higher.

Don't know what brand hauler you are looking at model numbers mean nothing to me.

Good Luck

Raising the bed to make it further from floor doesn't make the floor and ceiling further apart

Many 5th wheels have reduced height in the front because of the step up. If they are not a full height 5er you may have to duck to get into bed, but have 8-9' ceilings in the living area.

No but it does give you more head room The happy jack beds in the garage lift to the ceiling. The bottom of the beds become the ceiling.
