This is on my BUCKET LIST
I would love to get a custom hitch made, take the DW and go camping for a week or two. We camped for years so we have all the gear.

I hope you are a good mechanic. My MJB in 1977 was always breaking down, one thing or another. I'd hate to be traveling in the middle of nowhere, break down and have to get repairs or parts.

Had a 77 Fiat spyder 124 looked just like an MG, an old man at a gas station said "hey you know what Fiat stands for? Fix it all the time" boy was he right.

Had an MGB back in my wild days..purred like a kitten...brakes went out, electrical problems..no one wanted to work on it...paint job left a little to be desired...but it was a FUN car!! 2nd happiest day in my life..when I bought it, happiest, when I sold it!!

Actually it is a 1974 Midget 1200. It has the 1200cc Triumph engine. I rebuilt the top end when I got it otherwise she purrs. Gee, there's a group of MG owners from Winnipeg that go to tour the back roads of Wisconsin every summer. It's about a 2500 mile round trip and they have a blast. I don't think I'd go that far. At least I could put a lot of tools in the trailer. Lol

had an old girl friend who went out and bought a brand new 1977 midget and i had to teacher how to drive a stick, in the winter she always drove my truck and i got the midget boy was that a fun car especially in the snow you could do donuts anywhere come to think of it she was a pretty fun person to, oh the good ole days

Every one complains about Lucas electrical used in MG's, there isn't a problem with it, just don't let the smoke out!!!

The midget and MG-B were both great cars.
Another great car of the same era (60s to 70s) was the Triumph Spitfire. My dad used to have one in the mid-late 70s, and I remember having great fun with it.
I'd love to get a spitfire, as a fun runaround, but getting parts for servicing must be a nightmare (even in the UK, yet alone here in US)
His was a Mk IV in "British Racing Green" like this one (except it had the spoked wheels) : -

Liked the TR4, 5, etc. Never had one but thought they looked great.

Actually I found a local shop that only works on MG 's and Triumphs and he can get any part you would need and prices are quite reasonable.
I love tooling around in this car. I can't count the times that someone has pulled up to me at a red light or driving down the road and give me the thumbs up. In all my other vehicles they use a different finger!
