This stinks!
Well,
Mother Nature's timing is rough. No one was ready for a 6-20" snow fall the day before Halloween in Connecticut.
We winterized on Friday night to get ready for snow on Saturday night because I had to work Saturday morning.
We have had a very mild fall in Ct and the temps were to high and we had too much rain to signal the trees to drop their leaves. We got hit with very heavy, wet snow and a lot of it. Add that to the leaves and tada, broken trees. So many trees are broken and power lines are down. It is as bad as the hurricane we just had.
Some 700000+ people in Ct alone are out of power since Saturday night. The schools are closed and so are many companies. It was by far a new record for snow for us in October.
We pray for all the families without power and who have had losses. The clean up and reestablishing of power may take a while. While we are getting ready to put our campers away for a long winters nap, some people, like in the hurricane, must still use theirs for a primary shelter.
