Those that use the Andersen Levelers.........
On tandem axle trailers, do you still chock the side of the trailer that is on the ground? Do you just chock one of the wheels on the ground side?
Thanks

I should be getting my Anderson kit in the mail today. I went ahead and bought the whole bag.
Since the kit comes with two chocks in addition to the two wedges used with the levelers, I'm going to go out on a limb and say the company must recommend two chocks on the low side.
I have always just put one chock per tire, between the tires, but I doubt it really makes any difference (inside or outside) as long as you have one chock facing each direction.
Which is what I would have done even if I hadn't bought the kit. Seems like the safest bet.

I bought my Andersen Levelers off Amazon, so never knew there was a kit. I guess I need to check out what comes in the kit and go from there.

I guess I mean the side that the Andersen leveler's are up on to level the trailer.

This is what I'm talking about.
3600 kit on Amazon
Like I said, mine's due in today. I can give you initial impressions, if you like.

X2! I have two x-chocks that I need to sell but will be buying new xtended x-chocks for our new spread axle unit. They sure do make things secure just like emergency brakes on a car. If you are interested in the regular x-chocks, let me know and I'll make a deal since you are local.

If those chocks don't work out, there's always the B and L X chocks.....a lot more secure

I like the x-chocks, just have to wait to get the trailer to measure the spread between my tires.

Yes, chalk the other tires as well.
Think about it, more is better.
What will keep the other side from moving?

Kind of depends on your rig. Our old trailer had a wheel on the front jack so if I didn't chock the sides opposite of the levelers the trailer wanted to spin off of them. My current trailer couldn't do that because the jack has a foot pad instead of a wheel. However, the torque is still there so I always chock the opposite side to keep from using the front jack as a holding point. Of course once you get the wedges under there you're probably safe but what the heck. Chocks can also add a little stability if they're in snug.

You may have to do like some forum members did, and cut the chocks at an angle so they will fit (this is even recommended on the Anderson site)

Those that use the Andersen Levelers.........
Flymhi I might be willing to do an equal trade. I believe I have the extended ones but need the regular ones. I will know for sure this weekend when I pick my unit up from storage. I got a new camper in the fall and I think the spacing narrower than the last unit I had

"Ditto" and I just add X chocks to reduce TT movement while inside. They work great and makes it much easier to level.

Like some others, I level with Andersens, then put X-chocks on both sides. May be overkill, but trailer has never moved.
