Tick Removal Tool - Recommed you buy one

Every now and then comes a product that you can believe in and recommend to all your friends. This little gadget works like a champ and I have had them since backpacking days:

http://www.tickinfo.com/protickremedy.htm

We currently have 3 of them - one for the house, one we keep in the camper first aid kit and Dottie the Dalmatian has one of her own. It seem poor Dottie gets ticks more than anybody around here and I just don't want to share medical equipment with the dog, ya know?

Get a couple of these. The web page also provides more info than you realy want to know about ticks. Nasty little buggers.

REI and other good sporting goods stores have them. In fact that's where I got mine.

I once bought a small cast iron skillet on line - $8 and the shipping was $15!! Believe me I tried all sort of local places, but gas was $4 so I just paid the shipping. Didn't mean I liked it! Get the 5 for $15 deal and give the others away. you'll feel better!

Radio, great info. Deer ticks seem to be the biggest problem and cause the biggest concerns not only on pets but humans as well. They said that a bulls eye will appear when bitten by a deer tick, but that's not always true. If one could just find a deer tick on themselves this tool just might work. It is amazing how this topic is effecting me at this moment, my skin is crawling as I reply

I bet I have pulled 100 ticks of all sizes off our dog in the last 5 years. Maybe more.

But I can tell you with certainty, they come off easier and with less pain and better results with this little gadget than tweezers, matches or any other of that redneck backwoods crap. Try to get a tick out of a child's scalp using a hot match. Right!!
