OK so the real numbers are F & R GAWR =4,000# ea
GVWR =7,700#
and
GCWR = 11,200# which translates to a MAX trailer weight of 3,500# but he is trying to tow 9K or more than twice the rating for the truck.
Not a good thing to do and if the above numbers are correct it would definitely be unsafe IMO
He really needs a DRW F350
I use to tow a 26' enclosed race car trailer with 88 Camaro inside. The loaded trailer weight was about 9k I was towing with '89 Chevy 3500 DRW, w/454 and slide-in Camper in the bed. Haven't thought about my weights for a number of years so missed his initial statement of a 9k trailer.
