Dry weight for the trailer is 7900, 9K with everything...I have not been to the scales yet (I am hoping to today).

Who told you the truck was rated "GVWR 11,200 and GCWR 17,100". The cert label shown GVWR of7700#. I would expect 11,200# GVWR for an F350 not F150.

Also not sure if it is good practice for the GVW of the TT to exceed the GVW of the TV but others may have different opinion on TV/TT weight balance

He already said it is a F150. He called the tow rating the GVWR by mistake. Happens all the time and I knew what he meant.

I'm running Michelin tires on my 2012 Chevy Silverado 3500HD and are wearing very nicely.

My lift in my shop has my 41 Ford on it getting a new engine and had to take my pickup elsewhere for an oil change. I selected the Firestone Service nearby and the service writer came out 3 times trying to sell me a brake fluid flush, front end alignment, and Firestone tires.

I just had the alignment checked by my longtime friend that owns a shop that specializes in alignments, suspension, brakes, frames, and towing. Will do the brake flush myself when the lift is free. Discount Tire said there was 20K miles left on the tires.

You can go online to most tire company websites and find the right tires for your vehicle and see what others with the same have to say about them, like ride, handling, and wear.

OK so the real numbers are F & R GAWR =4,000# ea
GVWR =7,700#
and
GCWR = 11,200# which translates to a MAX trailer weight of 3,500# but he is trying to tow 9K or more than twice the rating for the truck.

Not a good thing to do and if the above numbers are correct it would definitely be unsafe IMO

He really needs a DRW F350

I use to tow a 26' enclosed race car trailer with 88 Camaro inside. The loaded trailer weight was about 9k I was towing with '89 Chevy 3500 DRW, w/454 and slide-in Camper in the bed. Haven't thought about my weights for a number of years so missed his initial statement of a 9k trailer.

I have Goodyear Wrangler Kevlar LT265/70R18. My tire man said they were great tires and I think he is right
