We had a Splendide combo (vented) and loved it! My wife got used to the small loads and generally did a load every other day or so. From my research back when I bought it, vented dries much better/faster than ventless. Now if you already have a ventless model, I don't think it would be worth it to buy a vented one.
We had to give up our Spendide (it's in storage) when we downsized and discovered it wouldn't easily fit in our current RV. But I'm sure we'll use that little washer/dryer again sometime in the future!
Laundry tips: don't overload, don't use too much soap, Tide HE works fine. She only washed in cold water although hot water was available.
