Wll guys, for the second time in 4 years a tree limb has fallen into the roof of our 2007 Surveyor.
The first time it happened we were at a camp ground and it was a sunny, breezy day. Two weeks ago while parked where we keep her stored a limb from an Oak tree, maybe 15 years old, came down and hit the trailer in almost the same spot as the first incident.
The repairs from the first time ended up being over $10,000. The shop hasn't gotten into it yet but the damage looks very much the same. Of course the Adjuster wrote up that we "needed a new roof". and we are getting a check for $2891.00. But the claim is still open. And the check WILL NOT BE CASHED.
Over the phone, the shop mgr. said if the side wall is cracked, he plans to recommend it be totaled this time.
It's been a gloomy two weeks.
