I would try swapping sensors with another tire then you could narrow down if it's an out if spec sensor.

Tireman said the temperature was usually just a consequence of the low pressure problem. Keep the air in it and MOST of the time you will be fine. I now have external sensors. I enjoy the idea of being able to change in an instant... not that I will.

the sunny side of a trailer will usually show temps 10 degrees higher...

if it stays at the higher temp no matter what, like changing it to another tire, then the sensor might be faulty

Just ordered the TST 507 with flow thru sensors today. Struggled a bit with a leaking valve stem on last trip. Fixed that but looking forward to easier monitoring.

For what it is worth I use the TireTraker TT500 system and so far, am happy with it.
