Trailer aid harmful?

Realized I'm not well equipped to deal with a flat, or wheel/tire maintance. I have a 221RBXL tandem axle. I have a small bottle jack and blocking I could use. After a little research I like the idea of the "trailer aid" or ramp like device for lifting wheel. My question is: would using the "trailer aid", or other ramp be harmful to the axles? Bending? straining?

For a short time the one tire and axle would bare the weight of one side of the unit it would not be moving so the stress will be short term.
