Trailer Sway Control

A question for all the trailer guys as I don't have much experience with them.

I just bought a bass boat that weighs in at 3500lbs give or take on the trailer. We will be towing it behind the motorhome and sometimes our Jeep Liberty. Our friend has a Reese sway control bar on his boat trailer and says it works wonders. What do you guys say? I don't really see what it is supposed to do...

Just thinking out loud. I have never seen one on a single axle boat trailer. I could see where you might need one on a double axle deck boat trailer.

It works by restricting movement of the joint between the TV and the towed. They do work. It makes sense that they would work well on a boat trailer.
