Travel Advisory for Canmore, Banff Alberta

I hope no one is effected by the floods today. We may have to cancel our trip to Jasper in 2 weeks if they can't get the road open

We drove over that bridge yesterday on our way to kelowna. We're here in Vancouver now. Hope the road gets re built before we head back next week or we may have to take a long detour.

I think you're going to end up taking the long way home...

Highway 16 is currently the only route open without issues into BC, #3 near Sparwood has been washed out with only one lane open so expect long delays.

We'll be heading north when we head to Jasper.

Good thing we brought our passports. I've been checking with coworkers and friends in Calgary. Looks bad. Seen videos of water running down downtown. Flooding at the stampede grounds. River flowing on lower deck of center street bridge.

The one video on global shows a nice view of the flooding. Bow river and elbow river waters merging in downtown. Then flys over the zoo. It's under water. Just looks unreal. Gas stations are being emptied. Grocery stores emptied. No bottled water at walmarts and Costco. Raw video: Aerials of flooding in Calgary | Global News Video
Unsure how to put link in
