black streak blues

AWESOME from All For A Dollar is awesome!! Tried many products since my first Open Road Camper in 1968. AWESOME beats the black streak problem in spades! After cleaning, I use ZERO spray wax, same as on my truck and my Mitsubishi Eclipse. Hope this helps someone out there.

I interpret this to mean the vinyl graphics on the side of RVs.

Not sure whose graphics FR uses, but here is a FAQ on caring for vinyl graphics from a large vinyl supplier.

I've never understood the hubbub about not waxing your decals. I've used about every product out there at one time or another on decals, even buffed them. Never had any problems. Decals look fine.

Yes, I've never had a problem. Have others expressed a concern about using Nu Finish on gel coat fiberglass?

I like to use Nu Finish car polish first, if that does not get it I go to Protect All Fiberglass oxidation remover and color restorer. Do not like the Black Streak Removers they seem to make it worse. If you keep some wax on the RV you should not have too much of a problem getting streaks off.

Technically NuFinish is a sealant. It's labeled a polish but if you research the product, it's a sealant. It does not contain any wax. If you start using it from the beginning, it will keep your fiberglass looking new and will make it much easier to clean off the black streaks. That's my experience anyway.

And if you use it, damp dryer sheets make bug removal very easy...

Bugs N All

I highly recommend a product available only on Amazon called Bugs N All. It will remove bugs from your rig and tow vehicle as well as black streaks without harming paint or graphics. I discovered this product on Amazon and glad I did. I certainly hope I am posting this correctly as this is my first post.

I apply wax in the morning and do not remove it until later in the day. Wipes off like dust. Also makes dirt and black streaks come right off. Do not use a power washer.
I use a Gel-Gloss polish on our kitchen sink,,, they make very good products !!!

I've used Totally Awesome from Dollar General or about any other dollar store. For $1 you get a 32oz (I think) concentrated bottle that lasts me at least a year between washing the rig, cars, and using it as cleaner in the house. This stuff is exact as it is named...Awesome!

Travel trailer cleaner/ wash

Adding to this...I was waxing front cap today. Dang I am old.
When I finished I noticed some black steaks on the side(haven't washed that yet) I was waxing with meguires cleaner wax(cotton rag) and hit a couple streaks with the wax rag and the black streaks fell off. I had used the car wash pad on a couple of them with little results...I guess I know what to do. Needs to be waxed anyway.
