I always travel with mine on, as far as I know, the fridge also runs off the battery of the TV, not necessarily from gas only, you have the option, I used the TV power while on the road until I get to the campground and switch to gas.

You will fond this question on every RV forum you visit. It all comes down to your individual risk tolerance of possible accidents. In a perfect world the beer would always stay cold.

Have been running on LP on the road but think it might be a very safe idea to turn it off while fueling. Way too short a distance between outdoor vent and fueling point.

Always on even while fueling as gas fumes are heavier than air and sink to the ground. Refrigerator flame is at least 3' above ground and besides, the whole rig is out in the open air.

On for sure. I could run it off of 12V, but propane since it's a dual setup. Once I get to the campsite, assuming it has electricity, I'll switch to 110. Like my beer, err um soda to be cold.

That only works if you have a refrigerator designed to run off 12v DC.

Off (talk about a minority position!). We pre-cool the fridge at home and our longest trips thus far are under 4 hours. Frozen foods are still frozen and cold items are still cold. If I were in an A or C I would leave it on, but with a TT I feel I am too far removed from any problems while driving. The final thing we pack in the camper is a cooler filled with cold ones under ice - beer just seems to taste better that way.
I'll rethink this if we start making longer trips.

I travel with mine on, but I get in the camper and turn it off prior to pulling up to a fuel pump to make sure the pilot light is off. turn it back on when I leave the station. may be unnecessary step but I feel better doing it this way.

Travel with it on. I turned it off at gas stations as its quick and turn it back on as I leave. I heard it's Texas state law. Don't know if its true, but why risk it?

The safety issue is if your propane tanks are on you could have a serious problem if you get into a collision and your propane lines rupture. Then there is a risk of the propane igniting.

You'd run that risk with propane on or off.
These tanks have opd valves which when high flow is introduced the valve shuts gas off to a minimum.

I noticed your unit is a 2006. We just traded in our 2006 Class A with a 2-way fridge, so the technology should be real close to the same. We never turned the fridge off....never. We kept it plugged in when parked and, when driving, it was on either generator or gas continuously. Did that for the entire five years we owned it and the dealership was very surprised at how cold the unit was when we traded it in. Never had any issues at all.
