Truck steps/running boards

I have a 2013 chevy 3/4 ton with Chevy running boards on it.
My wife is 4'9 and has a HARD time getting in and out still.
Has anyone installed a "second step"?
I don't care about ground clearance, I don't go 4 wheelin and the truck sits plenty high for normal driving.
Just looking for thoughts on it.
thanks

Thanks, but those brackets mount to the frame, not designed to be used as a second step. At least that is what it looked like to me when I read up on them before.

What size tires are on the truck? Mine came with 18inch and my wife is like yours has a hard time getting into truck. Site listed here sure are pricy. May be some other options available as the portable plastic step you buy for your camper. I think they are available at CW and walmart. Used to get to kitchen cabinets Later RJD

After that last sentence we think you probably need another stool to replace that old one.

Look at the amp research power steps. I had them on my f150. They extend when you open the door and retract when the door is closed. These step drop down lower than the normal running board. They are pricey at around $1000 a set but they work great.

Pretty hard to find an add on step for existing nerf bars, but you might try replacing what you have with something like this. They bolt on to frame easily. My dealer wanted $900 for nerf bars . I added ones that work and look great for $225 and 40 mins effort.

Go Rhino Dominator D4 Nerf Bars, Go Rhino Dominator D4 Nerf Side Steps
